PRINCE

2023-2024

Steel Ball Run chapter 47 - february 2007

“Prince” project is an immersive 3D digital artwork series that embodies my artistic vision inspired by the manga and anime series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki. Through this project, I aim to bring the captivating world of JoJo’s to life combining classical Italian sculpture, vibrant colors, and contemporary digital references.

The epic saga follows the extraordinary adventures of the Joestar family across different generations, blending supernatural battles, intricate plots and a unique mix of adventure, action and fantasy. Stands, the embodiment of characters’ spirits, serves as a conduit for their battles against supernatural enemies. The series stands out for its distinctive style, eccentric characters, cultural references, and a captivating fusion of music, fashion and surrealism.

‘Steel Ball Run’. is set in 1890 during a thrilling horse race across the United States, I will focus on the characters Gyro Zeppeli and Johnny Joestar. Gyro, an eccentric and talented Italian knight with exceptional combat skills, and Johnny, a former renowned jockey seeking to heal his paralyzed legs, form a deep friendship and embark on a transformative journey together. Inspired by the emotional depth and character dynamics, my project delves into the essence of their travel, capturing their resilience, trust, and personal transformations.

Throughout the project, I want to pay homage to the series’ musical influences and drawing inspiration from iconic JoJo poses inspired by fashion magazines like Vogue and Haute Couture. I aim to create a visual language that blurs the line between realism and surrealism, inviting the audience to explore the depths of JoJo’s universe. Jojo’s unique blend of music, Italian culture and American history will be embodied in “Prince”.
